Thor: The Dark World

Plot: After Jane Foster is possessed by a dark energy called the Aether, Thor fights to protect her from an evil dark elf who wants to use the power to destroy the universe.
Review: The Dark World was way better than Thor. Usually I'm a bit skeptical of sequels, but lately these days they're better, especially with comic book movies. You can't go wrong with the cast. Everyone from the original movie is back. But Loki (Tom Hiddleston), plays a lesser role than Thor. He is locked up in prison from his crimes in The Avengers. Basically there's this race of dark elves that were fighting with the Asgardians during Odin's father's era. Odin's father defeated the dark elves, and hid away the Aether from the dark elves. Skip ahead to present day and Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) goes through a portal which leads her to the Aether and it somehow goes inside her. Thor (Chris Hemsworth) finds out about this and tries to protect her from the dark elf leader.
As I said above, this is a great cast, great action, and its really funny. Probably the funniest Avengers series movies. The sci-fi like weapons in The Dark World are pretty awesome. One is a grenade that acts like a blackhole sucking in anything that is near it. The guns are neat to. Thor: The Dark World is one of the best Avengers series movies and highly recommended!
