Alien

Plot: A cargo space ship investigates a mysterious signal coming from a distant planet. Only to find a terrifying alien life form.
Review:
Probably by far the best Alien movie to date. I know Aliens was pretty awesome, but the others seemed to forget that Alien made the franchise successful because it was a slasher movie set in space. It all starts with the crew waking up, figuring out they aren't at earth and have to investigate a mysterious signal coming from a planet. Once down there, they find eggs, and one of the crew members gets one attached to his face. Then it laid something down his throat and it broke through his chest only to grow to a bigger man killing machine. Great cast, great acting and it's scary! Future Alien movies need to go back to the slasher horror model.
Sigourney Weaver made this movie and was superb as Ripley. Her last moments in the movie kept you on the edge of your seat. Tom Skeritt was great as Captain Dallas, Ian Holm played the mysterious Ash and Yaphet Kotto was Parker. If you want to watch a terrifying Sci-Fi flick that basically made the genre what it is, this is the movie to see!
Overall: 10/10

Sigourney Weaver: Ellen Ripley
Tom Skerrit: Capt. Dallas
Ian Holm: Ash
Yaphet Kotto: Parker
