Noah
Plot: The world is in chaos and a man is chosen by the creator to save the innocent before an apocalyptic flood destroys the world.
Review: Noah is a different movie. It's not 100% biblical and it received many mixed reviews. Personally I liked it. I'm not very religious so don't know the full story of Noah, but this movie was entertaining. Russell Crowe just wasn't all that likeable as Noah. For starters, he believed that the creator wanted to destroy all of humanity and that included all of his family. So he cared nothing for them. Aside from Crowe, the rest of the cast did a decent job. Jennifer Connelly (Blood Diamond) was Noah's wife Naamah, Anthony Hopkins (Silence Of The Lambs) was Noah's father Mathuselah who was a hermit living in a mountain. Ray Winstone (The Departed) was brutal as the king of the humans.
Noah was given a vision from the creator (God) and saw a great flood was about to take over the world. It was his job to get all of the animals (the innocent) to the ark, and save them from the flood. Humans were an exception and it was just Noah's family that could go into the ark. They had some help from The Watchers, who were formerly angels, who were exiled into earth and agreed to help Noah with the ark and protect them from the barbaric humans. Noah is a decent flick, not quite like Russell Crowe's performance in Gladiator, but still a decent and enetertaining film.
