Out Of The Furnace

Plot: When his brother goes missing, a man stops at nothing to find him suspecting a ruthless drug lord as the man responsible for his disappearance.

Review: The combo of Christian Bale and Woody Harrelson really paid off with Out Of The Furnace. Christian Bale was pretty decent as rough character who was just out of prison after hitting a car while under the influence. Woody Harrelson played a ruthless druglord who is a bit of a junky, woman beater and well just a crazy redneck. Other actors to mention were Casey Affleck as Christian Bale's brother, who was an ex soldier who fought for cash illegally and Willem Dafoe who was his boss.

The story was pretty well made, although not as good as Christian Bale's other movie in 2013 American Hustle, There were some slow moments in the movie though, especially in the beginning. It was almost a wake the sleeping giant kind of moment where you knew something big was about to happen. But when Christian Bale knew his brother was missing and possibly dead, he took things into his hands without worrying of the consequences and stopped at nothing to find his brother. Out Of The Furnace is a decent revenge movie and worth the rental.
