Nebraska

Plot: The story of an elderly alcoholic who believes he won a million dollars, but has to go to Lincoln, Nebraska to retrieve it. His family, believes it was a scam.

Review: Bruce Dern is awesome in this movie as Woody Grant, a confused old man who maybe close to getting alzheimers. After getting a letter in the mail claiming that he was a winner of one million dollars, he goes off and starts walking to Lincoln, Nebraska where he has to claim his prize. He is eventally stopped by cops and continues to walk over until his son, David (Will Forte), decides to help his old man out and live his fantasy. Along the way, there is an accident and then they decide to go to the old man's hometown of Hawthorne.

While there, the Woody runs into several old friends and acquaintances. He can't help resist to not tell them of his luck. Then sure enough everyone wants a piece of the money and they are all against him. Bruce Dern was great as Woody, Will Forte who was David was a pretty decent actor to. The only real nice person in the movie. Bob Odenkirk (Breaking Bad) made an appearance as Woody's other son, and was really the only other big name in the movie. His wife Kate (June Squibb) though was a real piece of work. Not sure if too many people would like her. But to sum it up, Nebraska is a decent flick, but can be depressing sometimes as it gets frustrating to watch this confused old man try and get something we know he can't.
