Die Hard

Plot: A New York cop is invited to a Christmas party in LA, but it's soon under threat from European terrorists.
Review: Probably the best action movie ever, Die Hard has everything you can think of. A good plot, great action and a lot of funny parts with memorable characters, this is a classic. Originally, Die Hard was supposed to be a sequel to Arnold Schwarzenegger's Commando, but after Schwarzenegger dropped out they cast Bruce Willis and redid the script. But it turns out that was a great decision.
Despite being known as a musician at the time with little acting, Bruce Willis shines in Die Hard. Not just Willis, but Alan Rickman was great and one of the best villains of all time as Hans Gruber. John McClane (Bruce Willis) gets invited to a party in LA by mistake at his wife's (Bonnie Bedelia), but shortly after Hans Gruber and his group take the party goers hostage and cause trouble. It's up to McClane to stop them! If you love action movies, you should definitely see this if you haven't!
